(partial)
a block party is like a rowhome
like a stoop like a porch
is a symbol of the people philly belongs to
we made the bottom the top
in another time, in another space
a planet where our dreams made sense
philly is nobody's business
and yet it's all of ours
if this street could talk
its vernacular of venango and vine
philly belongs to the gingko trees and the kids who spraypainted the bridges
