William Penn Alexander Milne Calder, 1894 * Statue of William Penn * big standing person wearing a hat * There are only five buildings in Philadelphia that are higher than Billy Penn's hat. A smaller copy of the statue which is considerably closer to the ground can be viewed at Welcome Park, which is on the East side of 2nd between Chestnut and Walnut. The last two pictures are of references to this piece from the murals at 12th and Walnut and 24th and Chestnut.
