City Hall, North Pavilion

* This pavilion was the first of the four to be cleaned and lit. Standing in this one small portion of the building you can sense the incredible amount of work that went into the building's sculpture.

William Penn

* There are only five buildings in Philadelphia that are higher than Billy Penn's hat. A smaller copy of the statue which is considerably closer to the ground can be viewed at Welcome Park, which is on the East side of 2nd between Chestnut and Walnut. The last two pictures are of references to this piece from the murals at 12th and Walnut and 24th and Chestnut. There is also a reference to this piece in The Tableau around the corner on 13th.
